ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ Hamzah Ibn-Amr al-Aslamī asked the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, about fasting while traveling; as he often used to fast for days in succession (1). The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, replied,"You may choose to fast, and you may choose not to." Footnotes: (1) This refers to voluntary fasting, which he did frequently. ”
